Just to update this month, we started off at Tabernacle in Jonesboro, Dr. Joe Arthur, and was there for two services. My oh my, did we have a time! Sunday morning started with choir opening and it was a launch. We didn't come down or calm down until it was over. God met with us in a tremendous way. I was exhausted! I went to my room to rest, relaxed a bit... then it was time to go back. To my surprise we took back up where we left off. God blessed again. I saw many many old friends that came by. As if that wasn't enough, we left that wonderful service and went over to IHOP, and I guess close to fifty people joined us! Over there we told war stories, a few "lies" and laughed until past midnight! What a great day.
Then on Wednesday, I was privileged to be back at Grace Baptist with Pastor Dr. Ken Martin. I want everyone to know that my preaching in this Fall Kickoff was totally powerless! No, really powerless! A storm came through as I was reading my Scripture text, and everything went dark. I went ahead and preached, I suppose all in all, considering the situation, we had a wonderful service. Thank God for Grace and Pastor Martin. Looking forward to being back at Grace Baptist. From here I was blessed to be back at Canaan Baptist in Augusta, Ga. I just love Pastor Mike Andrews. The people at this church are hungry to hear the preached Word. How refreshing! I am still hearing from them with reports of the workings of our Big God. Thank you LORD! Then following Wednesday I was back in my home town of Dallas, Ga. with Pastor Donald Voyles and the fine people of Unity Baptist. I was really accepted well and the people received my message graciously. Pastor Don and I have a special bond going back over thirty years. Thanks Pastor and Unity Baptist for the opportunity to be with you and the kindness you showed and the wonderful prayer for me at the end of service! On the 28th, morning and evening, I will be at Canaan Baptist in Covington, Ga. with their new Pastor Dr. Billy Ingram. So looking forward to being back at Canaan! It has been many years since I was with this wonderful group of worshipers! Not certain the year, but Bro. Donnie Polllard, Bro. Dennis Petty, and the Corbin Family and myself were there for a New Year's Watch Night Service. We sure had a good time back then. Can't wait to be there!
I hope to see many of my friends, my prayer warriors, my supporters and new people to be get acquainted with.
I would also love hearing from you readers of this post. Keep us in your prayers, as I go back to Emory for the day, on Monday the Sept. 29th. So again, thanks for the prayers and support and please let me hear from you!
